Why New Homes need Low E Glass for Energy Efficiency
April 29, 2010
It’s a fact that brand new homes are more energy efficient than older homes. Improvements in building materials, insulation materials and window glass have helped the new homes for sale in the Killeen Fort Hood real estate market perform much better when it comes to energy efficiency.
Over all, your windows are where the greatest loss of heating and cooling occurs in a home. Over 25% of the energy loss in any home is through the windows. Having energy efficient windows is obviously very important.
Jerry Wright Homes installs energy efficient windows built with 240 Low E Glass. Low E glass has a transparent coating which decreases glare and achieves control over solar gain. Your new home will be warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer, and the glass also helps block harmful UV rays that may fade carpet, fabrics and furniture in your home.
All new homes for sale are not the same! Energy Star homes from Jerry Wright Homes are built to lower your utility costs now and into the future.

Home Builder Starts Popular Floorplan
April 14, 2010
Jerry Wright Homes most popular new home floorplan, the
Retreat, is currently under construction and for sale in both
House Creek North subdivision in Copperas Cove, and in Trimmier
Estates in Killeen.
Buyers LOVE this new home floorplan because it offers the possibility
to have three living areas. The large great
room is partially open to the kitchen and dining, with the wrap around
granite breakfast bar in between. Beautiful ceramic
tile and glass tile accents are installed on the kitchen backsplash,
and complement the granite as well as the ceramic tile flooring in
the kitchen and dining area. The study opens off the great room.
This room features a closet, french doors, lighted ceiling fan and both phone
and cable outlets. The third living area is the Retreat located off
the master suite. This space is bright and sunny, with double
windows and lighted ceiling fan. Buyers have used this space as a
home office (phone and cable outlets are standard), exercise room, craft room,
or nursery. There is even the option to have this space reconfigured to
offer a fifth bedroom, opening off the hall instead of the master bedroom.
These homes will be ready in June, 2010, and are located at 400 Leo Lane and
1809 Jesse Drive.
